After a year of tough training sessions and physical challenges, Langdowns DFK’s, CEO, Neil Raynsford, and Director, Graham Taylor, recently reached the climax of our #accountantsfitforbusiness campaign by conquering the gruelling New York Marathon in 4h 27 mins and 5h 01 mins respectively.

The countdown has begun. In a matter of weeks, Langdowns DFK’s CEO, Neil Raynsford, and Director, Graham Taylor will be donning their running shoes to tackle the gruelling New York Marathon for the last leg of our ambitious #accountantsfitforbusiness campaign.

An amazing 1,000 riders saddled up for Nelson’s Tour de Test Valley charity bike ride last weekend in memory of Nelson Pratt and in aid of CALM, the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), which was set up to prevent male suicide, the single biggest killer of young men in the UK.

Langdowns DFK directors, Graham Taylor, Ross Garfitt and Neil Raynsford, freshly inspired by Team GB’s cycling success in Rio, are delighted to announce that they will be taking part and supporting Nelson’s Tour de Test Valley for the 2nd year.

Accounts and Audit Manager, James Waters, has spent the last few months sailing around the Indian Ocean. As his trip nears its conclusion, James sent us some thoughts on his experience. From turtles and lion fish, to dolphins and pirates, read on for more on James’ exploits.

This year, the directors and staff at Langdowns DFK are pushing things to the extreme! As with any good idea, it started over a few drinks, which then, during the course of the evening, evolved into a fantastic idea(!) However, whilst nursing a few sore heads the next morning, this excellent idea inevitably turned into “oh no what have we committed to?!”, and where I say we, I mean Neil Raynsford and Graham Taylor.

Over the last 10 months several budding football managers have fought hard competing for the title of the 2016 Langdowns DFK Fantasy Football League, but there can only be one winner.

Sometimes in life you are presented with an opportunity that is too hard to ignore. As some of you may know, outside of my role as Audit and Accounts Manager at Langdowns DFK, I am also a keen sailor. Recently, my wife and I were lucky enough to be given the chance to explore some remote and beautiful parts of the world on an extended sailing adventure in the Indian Ocean later this year.
