Langdowns DFK Directors saddle-up for charity bike ride

Langdowns DFK Directors, Bob Law, Neil Raynsford, Graham Taylor and Ross Garfitt all geared up for the Tour de Test Valley last weekend, in loving memory of Nelson Pratt, pro snowboarder and keen cyclist who tragically died in June 2012.

The cycling enthusiasts were delighted to take part in the annual sporting event, which takes in Nelson’s favourite training rides throughout the stunning Test Valley, with a 40, 80 and 160km route.

After weeks of donning the Lycra and committing to regular training sessions, their great effort helped raised £1,000 for the official charity partner CALM,  the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), which was set up to prevent male suicide, the single biggest killer of young men in the UK.

Langdowns DFK Director, Ross Garfitt said “Completing the Test de Test Valley in memory of Nelson Pratt, was a great way for us to help raise awareness of CALM and to remember Nelson with his family and friends. So, after a hard cycle, covering nearly 100 miles, it was then time to take the foot off the peddle and celebrate. Thank you to everyone who donated.”
